2. Classification on CNC Machining Center
A. Vertical Machining Center
Refers to the machining center with the spindle in a vertical state. Most of its structures are fixed columns, and the workbench is rectangular without indexing and rotating functions. It is suitable for processing discs, sleeves, and plate parts. It generally has three linear motion coordinate axes, and a rotary table that rotates along the horizontal axis can be installed on the worktable to process spiral parts.
B. Horizontal Machining Center
Refers to the machining center with the main shaft in a horizontal state, usually with an automatic indexing rotary table. It generally has 3 to 5 motion coordinates, and it is common to have three linear motion coordinates plus one rotary motion coordinate. After the workpiece is clamped once, the processing of the other four surfaces except the mounting surface and the top surface is completed. It is most suitable for adding box parts.
C. Longmen Processing Center
It refers to the machining center whose spindle axis is perpendicular to the worktable. Mainly suitable for processing large parts.
